Kaitlyn Andrews - Here at Genoa-Kingston, we are excited in extending our warmest welcome to our newest team member, Kaitlyn Andrews. We're delighted to introduce Ms. Andrews and provide a glimpse into her background, interests and how she resonates with our mission.
Ms. Andrews graduated from Luther College and will be teaching Music at GES. When she isn't at school, she enjoys a couple of hobbies. “I love to do anything crafty in my free time. I crochet, sew, knit, paint and try to diy almost anything I can,” said Ms. Andrews.
At GK, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. As Ms. Andrews embarks on this journey with us, she shares what our mission statement means to her. “As a music teacher I am really excited to foster lifelong musicians and create a collaborative community where students help each other learn and grow.”

Christina Dengate - We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our newest team member, Christina Dengate! We are excited to have Ms. Dengate join our dedicated team of educators.
Ms. Dengate will be bringing her passion and expertise to our fifth grade department. Upon graduating from Columbia Southern University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Ms. Dengate attended NIU and earned a Masters degree in Elementary Education.
Outside the classroom Ms. Dengate enjoys spending time coaching her son's baseball team and watching her daughter do competitive cheerleading. When her family has a bit of free time they love watching movies and just hanging out together.
At Genoa-Kingston, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. For Ms. Dengate, our mission statement, means teaching students to the best of her ability and growing with them on a daily basis. It also means working together with parents and the community to create and mold our students to become valuable members of our future community.
We extend our heartfelt welcome to Christina Dengate as she embarks on this exciting journey with us and let us all give a warm round of applause and a heartfelt welcome to her!
Jessica Heine - We are delighted to introduce a new team member to our staff, Jessica Heine. She will be working with our elementary school students as a fifth grade teacher.
Ms. Heine received a degree from Clarke University and when not at the school, Ms. Heine finds joy in spending time with family and friends and just anything outdoors!
At Genoa-Kingston School District 424, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. For Ms. Heine, our mission statement means giving students the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve their fullest potential.
We look forward to witnessing the positive impact Ms. Heine will undoubtedly have on our students' lives and the overall educational experience at GK. Let us extend a warm welcome to Ms. Heine, as we embark on this journey of growth and learning together!
Abby Ryan - We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to one of our newest team members, Abby Ryan. We want to take a moment to introduce Ms. Ryan to our community and share some insights into her background, passions and her alignment with our mission.
With an educational foundation from Ripon College, Ms. Ryan graduated with a degree in Business Management and Elementary Education. Beyond their professional achievements, Ms. Ryan enjoys watching sports, mindful coloring, spending time with family and friends and being active in her free time! She also loves going out to eat and shopping!
At Genoa-Kingston, our mission is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. To Ms. Ryan it means, “creating an environment where students can grow and flourish! Beyond academics, it is important to expect and model respect, hard work, and kindness, among many other things! My main goal is to build students up and give them the confidence and tools they need to succeed!”

Kayla Paul - We are thrilled to announce one of our newest team members, Kayla Paul who will be teaching fourth grade!
Ms. Paul is a graduate of Illinois State University. Beyond the professional realm, Ms. Paul has quite a few interests and hobbies. During her free time, she can often be found spending time with her family, watching her 2 little girls grow up, reading thrillers and doing DIY projects!
Our mission at GK is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. When we asked Mrs. Paul what our mission statement meant to her, she expressed her thoughts:
"To me it means providing each and every student with the tools and resources necessary for them to be the most successful in all their endeavors, which will lead to them giving back to the community in the opportunities that open up to them due to those successes," said Ms. Paul.
Once again, let's extend our heartfelt welcome to Kayla Paul. As she embarks on this new journey with us, we are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead. Together, we will continue to achieve new heights and make a lasting impact on our students' lives.
Ivy Wynn - Please join us in welcoming Ivy Wynn to Genoa Elementary School!
Ms. Wynn graduated from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville,Tennessee. In her free time she enjoys hanging out with her friends and taking her dog on walks.
Our mission at GK is to prepare students to excel and contribute to their community. When we asked Ms. Wynn what our mission statement meant to her, she said:
“Preparing students to excel and contribute to their community means that it is my job as an educator to make sure that my students are learning things to be successful inside and outside of my classroom. As an educator I want my students to feel confident academically but also have the tools to be successful in their community. I want my students to feel like they are a part of a bigger picture.”
