From the Principal:
It is hard to believe it… November is here already! We at KES have so much to be thankful for! I am thankful to everyone for the support they have shown me through this transition to KES interim principal. Our students, families and staff have been so welcoming as I have taken on this new role. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
November starts off with Parent/Teacher conferences on November 1st and November 2nd. Wednesday, November 1st is a normal Wednesday schedule with early release at 1:45 and Thursday, November 2nd is early release at 11:30 (no lunch will be served). Then on November 3rd, we will have NO SCHOOL. The end of the month brings us the Thanksgiving holiday. To celebrate we will not have school on Wednesday, November 22nd, Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November 24th for the Thanksgiving break. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
A few reminders: as the weather becomes cooler it is important to prepare for the season. Please make sure that your child has a warm coat, hats, gloves, boots and snow pants. It is always a good idea to send extra socks and gloves to keep in your child’s locker. Please make sure that everything is marked with your child’s first and last name. When items get lost they can be found in our lost and found if your child’s name is on them. Once the snow falls, ONLY students with proper winter attire (boots and snow pants) will be allowed off the blacktop during recess.
One last reminder, if you are changing transportation for your child, PLEASE call the office at least 30 minutes prior to dismissal. This ensures that we can get the message to your child’s teacher with enough time before the bell rings.

Thank you for all of your continued support!
