Week of December 12, 2022
Literacy
In ReadyGen we are focusing on characters, setting, and retelling events. Students are also learning the difference between fiction and non-fiction reading material. Vocabulary and parts of speech (nouns, proper nouns, and verbs) are essential parts of our lessons. We will begin to focus on contraction words.
Phonics

Long "i-e" (bite, time, ripe)
Tricky Words of the Week
We will begin to focus on our third quarter tricky words. Remember to have your student continue to practice the first 50 tricky words.

Math
We will begin math topic 5 addition and subtraction equations to 20. Our next topic will be graphing. Our fact focus +12 and we will review +10.
Reminders
Student school hours are 8:00-2:50 each day.
Please send two snacks and a water bottle to school with your student each day.
Our classrooms can be cool. Please send a sweatshirt with your student.
Temps are cooler please send gloves, hats and a warm jacket for outdoor play.
Please continue to check Seesaw throughout the week for messages.
If your child is sick or there is a change of transportation, you must call the office.
Please have your student return the attached homework.
